Allter Heat Shrinkable Sleeve HDD
HBDD is a reinforced heat-shrinkable sleeve designed to protect circumferential weld joints against corrosion, providing optimal joint protection for PE / PP / FBE / GRE coated pipelines used in directional drilling applications. The reinforcement gives the backing greater wear resistance.
The HBDD system consists of 3 layers:
Second Layer
High shear-strength, high-compatibility hot-melt copolymer adhesive.
Third Layer
Reinforced cross-linked polyethylene heat-shrinkable sleeve.
Additional Component
Protective cone providing additional protection against tensile forces, built with the same construction as the main sleeve.
System Features
- HBDD has high resistance to forces induced by thermal and ground movement.
- The protective cone shields the leading edge of the sleeve against tensile forces.
- The sleeve is applied over a liquid viscoelastic epoxy component - no curing or wait time required. Forms strong mechanical and chemical bonds.
